DTN COMMENTS:   A few bids are now on the table in parts of Western 
Nebraska, and Kansas. Asking prices around $232-plus in the South, but 
they are still not established in the North. Packer inquiry should 
improve as the day progresses. Having said that, significant trade volume 
will likely be delayed until Thursday and/or Friday. 

Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 373.61 -4.11, select 360.85 -
1.73) with light to moderate box movement (79.11 lds of choice cuts, 
18.25 lds of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 6.61 lds of ground). Live 
cattle futures near the top of the noon hour are moderately to sharply 
higher, while feeder issues are sharply higher.
